Game Illustrator

  • Job Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada - Pune.

  • Required Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Core Illustrator to join our game art team. This role is responsible for creating high-quality illustrations for slot games, including symbols, characters, environments, feature assets, and UI elements. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently delivering production-ready artwork while maintaining visual consistency, quality standards, and project timelines. The Core Illustrator plays a key role in transforming game concepts into engaging visual experiences and works closely with designers, animators, developers, and senior artists throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality illustrations for slot symbols, characters, backgrounds, feature screens, and UI elements.

  • Develop visually appealing assets that align with game themes and creative briefs.

  • Translate design requirements into polished production-ready artwork.

  • Ensure consistency with established art styles and visual guidelines.

  • Collaborate with designers, animators, developers, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Create multiple design variations and iterate based on creative feedback.

  • Prepare and organize assets for production and game integration.

  • Maintain quality standards while meeting project deadlines.

  • Contribute ideas during concept discussions and art reviews.

  • Support associate artists through guidance and knowledge sharing when required.

  • Take ownership of assigned assets from brief to final delivery and proactively communicate risks or challenges.

  • Ensure assets meet both artistic quality standards and technical production requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong illustration and digital painting skills.

  • Good understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, and visual storytelling.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant digital art tools.

  • Ability to create clean, polished, production-ready artwork.

  • Strong understanding of asset creation workflows and game art pipelines.

  • Good attention to detail and visual consistency.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of game production constraints, asset optimisation, and implementation requirements.

  • Ability to create visually engaging assets that support readability, player engagement, and game functionality.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in illustration, game art, or a related field.

  • Experience in gaming, mobile gaming, or iGaming is preferred.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating illustration quality, creativity, and production capability.

  • Experience creating assets across multiple visual styles.

Good to Have

  • Experience in slot game development.

  • Knowledge of UI illustration and visual hierarchy.

  • Basic understanding of animation workflows and asset requirements.

  • Exposure to 3D tools and workflows.

  • Experience working with AI-assisted creative tools for ideation and reference generation.

  • Familiarity with optimization and export requirements for game production.
