RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (PURELY ON ADHOC BASIS)
For ACADEMIC SESSION 2026–27
Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for the post of Assistant
Professor (Purely on Adhoc Basis) for the Academic Session 2026–27 in the following
subjects:

 Economics
 Punjabi
 Hindi
 English
 Political Science
 Sociology
 Physical Education
 History
 Mathematics
 Commerce
 Computer Science

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess qualifications as prescribed by the UGC and Panjab University,
Chandigarh.

Essential Qualifications
 Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized
University.
 Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed by the UGC for appointment
as Assistant Professor.

Preference
 UGC-NET qualified candidates will be preferred.
 Candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline will be given preference.

Nature of Appointment
 The appointment shall be purely on adhoc basis for the Academic Session 2026–27.
 The appointment shall not confer any right to claim regular appointment or continuation beyond the specified period.
 Services may be terminated as per institutional requirements and applicable rules.
Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be expected to:
 Teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes as assigned.
 Prepare lesson plans, study material, and conduct assessments.
 Participate in academic, co-curricular, and administrative activities of the College.
 Contribute to student mentoring, departmental development, and institutional initiatives.

Remuneration

Salary negotiable as per qualification and professional experience.
