Customer Service Executive – Import (Air & Sea Freight)

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Executive – Import to join our logistics team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have experience handling import shipments across Air and Sea freight, coordinating with overseas agents, co-loaders, shipping lines, and customers to ensure seamless shipment execution and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle import shipments for Air Freight, LCL, and FCL movements.
• Coordinate with overseas counterparts, agents, and co-loaders for daily routing orders.
• Provide timely shipment updates and status reports to customers.
• Prepare and send Cargo Arrival Notices (CAN) along with shipment arrival details.
• Track shipments from origin to destination and ensure smooth delivery processes.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve shipment-related issues promptly.
• Manage customer communication through email, phone calls, and other channels.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and updates.
• Prepare and maintain Daily Status Reports (DSR) and share updates with consignees.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing effective solutions.
• Handle incoming calls and route inquiries to the appropriate departments when required.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Import Customer Service within the Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry.
• Strong knowledge of Air Freight, LCL, and FCL import operations.
• Experience coordinating with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, email communication, and shipment tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry experience is mandatory.
