JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTY OFFICER

A. Shift & Duty Management

• Take charge of the assigned shift as per the roster.
• Ensure timely reporting, attendance, and deployment of drivers.
• Arrange replacement drivers in case of absence, late reporting, or emergency.
• Monitor duty changes, spare drivers, and manpower.
• Ensure proper shift handover/taking-over and maintain records.

B. Bus Dispatch & Receiving

• Ensure timely dispatch and receiving of buses as per schedule.
• Verify bus availability, fitness and fleet position before dispatch.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Charging Teams for bus readiness and required SOC.
• Monitor bus insheding and record late return, early return, breakdowns and incidents.
• Ensure proper parking and positioning of buses.
• Immediately report major operational issues to the Depot Manager.

C. EV Charging Coordination

• Coordinate with the Charging Team for timely charging of buses.
• Monitor charging status and SOC requirements for the next shift.
• Coordinate with Operations, Charging and Maintenance Teams.
• Ensure charging-related delays are promptly reported.
• Report abnormal charging conditions, equipment failure, overheating, smoke, sparks or other safety concerns immediately.
• Ensure no unauthorized person operates or interferes with charging equipment.

D. Driver Management

• Ensure drivers report on time and are properly deployed.
• Brief/counsel drivers before and after duty, wherever required.
• Monitor compliance with route, schedule, safety and operational instructions.
• Arrange replacement drivers in emergencies.
• Report unauthorized absence, late reporting, duty refusal or misconduct.
• Maintain discipline and professional conduct during the shift.

E. Gate & Vehicle Movement

• Coordinate with Gatemen for controlled entry and exit of buses.
• Ensure proper recording of vehicle movement.
• Verify vehicle, route and duty details wherever applicable.
• Ensure smooth movement, parking, dispatch and receiving of buses.
• Prevent unauthorized entry/movement and report security concerns.

F. Breakdown & Emergency Management

• Monitor and report vehicle breakdowns immediately to the Maintenance/Technical Team.
• Coordinate with the concerned driver and Control Room.
• Arrange replacement bus/driver wherever required.
• Record breakdown details, vehicle number, time and action taken.
• Escalate major/prolonged breakdowns to the Depot Manager.
• Follow approved emergency procedures in case of accident, fire, charging emergency or other serious incidents.

G. Attendance & Manpower

• Monitor attendance of Drivers, Gatemen and assigned operational staff.
• Verify biometric/attendance records, where applicable.
• Report late reporting, missed punches and unauthorized absence.
• Ensure proper manpower deployment and maintain shift attendance records.

H. KM & Operational Performance

• Monitor daily duties and operational KM.
• Ensure proper route-wise and vehicle-wise KM recording.
• Verify operational data before submission.
• Monitor achievement of prescribed operational targets.
• Report operational losses/deviations and coordinate corrective action.

• Driver Deployment & Attendance Report
• Breakdown/Incident Report
• Vehicle Movement Record
• KM Report
• Charging Status/Issue Report
• Late Reporting/Absence Report
• Shift Handover Report
• Other reports prescribed by management

J. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with depot and EV safety instructions.
• Ensure drivers and operational staff follow safety procedures.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Keep emergency routes and access areas clear.
• Coordinate during fire, accident, EV/electrical or other emergencies.
• Ensure no unsafe activity is permitted within the depot.
• Follow EV battery and charging safety requirements.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
