Job Title: Assistant Professor – Chemistry

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Assistant Professor in Chemistry to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, conduct practical sessions, and contribute to academic and departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures in Chemistry as per the prescribed curriculum.

Conduct laboratory practicals and demonstrate chemical experiments.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and academic schedules.

Assess students through assignments, internal examinations, practical examinations, and other evaluation methods.

Guide students in academic activities, projects, and laboratory work.

Maintain laboratory safety standards and ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.

Maintain academic records, attendance, and student performance reports.

Participate in departmental meetings, seminars, workshops, and other institutional activities.

Contribute to curriculum development, research activities, and quality assurance initiatives.

Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the Head of the Department or management.

Educational Qualification

M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university.

NET/SET or Ph.D. as per applicable UGC norms and institutional requirements.

Experience

Freshers may apply, subject to institutional requirements.

Prior teaching experience at the college level will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.

Good communication and classroom management skills.

Ability to conduct laboratory experiments and explain scientific concepts effectively.

Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.

Proficiency in academic documentation and basic computer applications.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.
