Job Description

• Understanding project specifications and customer requirements.
• Preparing engineering deliverables according to the project schedule.
• Coordinating with Mechanical, Process, Project, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Commissioning teams.
• Reviewing vendor technical documents and ensuring compliance.
• Preparing technical clarifications and deviation statements.
• Participating in customer/consultant technical meetings.
• Supporting procurement through technical evaluation and vendor finalization.
• Supporting FAT/SAT and site commissioning activities.
• Troubleshooting technical problems and providing engineering solutions.
• reparation and review of P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, I/O List and Instrument Specifications.
• Selection and sizing of field instruments such as:
  • Pressure / Differential Pressure Transmitters
  • Temperature Transmitters and RTDs
  • Flow Instruments
  • Level Instruments
  • Vibration Sensors
  • Speed Sensors / Speed Transmitters
  • Limit Switches and Position Feedback Devices
• Engineering of control valves, actuators, solenoid valves and associated accessories.
• Preparation and review of Instrument Hook-up Drawings and Installation Details.
• Preparation of Instrument Cable Schedule, Junction Box Schedule and Termination Details.
• Preparation/review of I/O allocation and PLC/DCS interface requirements.
• Understanding of PLC/DCS control philosophy and interlocking/permissive logic.
• Development/review of Cause & Effect, Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams and Functional Block Diagrams.
• Engineering of Actuator control and feedback signals, including:
  • Open/Close commands
  • Open/Close feedback
  • Torque/Movement fault
  • Local/Remote status
  • Position feedback
  • Interlocks and permissives
• Review of vendor drawings, datasheets, GA drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
• Technical evaluation of instrumentation vendors and preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
• Coordination with suppliers for technical clarifications and document approvals.
• Support during FAT, inspection, panel testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshooting of instrumentation/control-related issues at manufacturing and project sites.
• Coordination with customer/consultant for technical approvals and closure of comments.
• Ensuring engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Maintaining engineering documentation and revision control.
• Identifying opportunities for standardization, cost optimization and engineering improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and company engineering procedures.
