SOC Engineer / Detection Engineer – Delhi (remote)

About the role

The Security Engineer will design, build and maintain engineering solutions that strengthen our 24/7 Managed Detection and Response service. The role combines hands-on support for the Security Operations Centre with cloud engineering, automation, migration, production support and transformation work.

The role reports to the CTO.

Primary responsibilities 

• Build and improve threat detection logic, making us smarter at spotting attackers
• Harden systems and reduce attack surface
• Write and tune detection rules (SIEM, EDR, XDR)
• Design and implement security controls (network, endpoint, cloud)
• Manage vulnerabilities and patching strategies
• Work across infrastructure, DevOps and cloud teams
• Support compliance and security architecture
• Reduce false positives and improve alert quality
• Operational engineering to alert pipelines and playbooks
• Tooling enhancement to improve SOC efficiency through automation, telemetry enrichment and integrations. 
• Incident engineering to support investigations with scripts, enrichment sources and data pulls. 
• Monitoring and metrics to produce telemetry visualisation and SLAs for detection coverage and operational reliability. 

Required qualifications and experience 

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related discipline. 
• At least four years’ experience in an engineering role and at least two years in cyber security or in SOC-adjacent work. 
• Programming strong skills in Python for automation, parsing and tooling. 
• Cloud experience demonstrable experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP.

• Coverage of MITRE ATT&CK techniques

• Incident detection accuracy
