Job Title: Data Entry Operator – Accounts (Real Estate)
Experience: 2-5 Years
Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand
Job Overview:
The Data Entry Operator in the Accounts Department is responsible for accurately recording and maintaining financial data related to real estate transactions. This includes handling invoices, payments, receipts, and financial records to support the accounting team and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into accounting software
- Maintain records of property-related transactions (booking amounts, installments, rent, brokerage, etc.)
- Update and manage client payment details and outstanding balances
- Record invoices, bills, and vouchers accurately
- Assist in bank reconciliation and updating bank statements
- Prepare and update financial reports, ledgers, and spreadsheets
- Verify data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents (digital and physical)
- Coordinate with the accounts team, sales team, and clients for payment updates
- Ensure confidentiality of financial and client data
Required Skills:
- Good typing speed with high accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (debit/credit, ledgers, GST basics)
- Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 10+2 (Commerce preferred) or Graduate (B.Com or related field is an advantage)
- Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
- Computer certification (preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience in data entry or accounts (real estate experience is a plus)
Work Environment:
- Office-based role within the accounts/finance department
- Regular interaction with accountants, auditors, and internal teams
- May involve deadlines during month-end or financial closing periods
