Full job description
Clinical Care
- Perform detailed patient assessment, history taking, and clinical examination
- Formulate provisional diagnosis and initiate treatment
- Manage patients in:
- Wards
- Day Care
- SDICU (semi-critical patients)
- Assist/manage ICU & CCU patients under consultant supervision
Emergency Management
- Handle casualty/emergency cases independently
- Perform BLS / ACLS and resuscitation
- Stabilize patients before consultant takeover
Medication & Treatment
- Prescribe medications as per hospital policy
- Administer emergency drugs
- Modify treatment based on patient condition (in consultation where required)
Procedures
- Perform basic procedures:
- IV cannulation
- Foley’s catheterization
- Ryle’s tube insertion
- Suturing / wound care
- Assist in advanced procedures
Investigations
- Order and interpret:
- Laboratory tests
- ECG
- Radiological investigations
Monitoring & Documentation
- Monitor vitals and clinical progress
- Identify early signs of deterioration
- Maintain:
- Case sheets
- ICU / CCU / SDICU charts
- Progress notes
- Discharge summaries
Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Consultants
- Nursing staff
- Lab / Radiology
- Other departments
Communication
- Communicate patient condition to relatives
- Obtain informed consent (as applicable)
Medico-Legal Responsibilities
- Handle medico-legal cases as per protocol
Ensure accurate and complete documentation
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
