Job Description (JD) – Manufacturing / Factory Head

Position: Manufacturing Head / Factory HeadDepartment: All ManufacturingLocation: Manufacturing Unit-PuneQualification: BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine)Experience: Minimum 5 Years in Ayurvedic / Herbal / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Head will be responsible for overall production planning, execution, and supervision of Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing operations. The role ensures smooth production processes while maintaining quality standards, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, organize, and control daily manufacturing and production activities. Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule and company requirements.

· Supervise manufacturing processes of Ayurvedic formulations such as tablets, churnas, oils,etc.

· Ensure compliance with GMP, AYUSH, and regulatory guidelines, FDA approval is Preferred.

· Monitor batch manufacturing processes and maintain proper production documentation.

· Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) departments. Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.

· Maintain hygiene, safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in production areas.

· Handle production deviations, process improvements, and troubleshooting.Train and guide production staff and operators.

· Maintain production records, BMR, BPR, and audit-related documentation. Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
