Position: Assistant Doctor – Insurance
Location: Dhole Patil Road, Pune.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Doctor – Insurance to manage insurance-related medical coordination within the hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital insurance processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively between patients, doctors, and TPA/insurance companies. The candidate should be solution-oriented, organized, and committed to ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate insurance-related medical cases in accordance with hospital and insurance guidelines.
- Counsel patients regarding insurance eligibility, documentation, approvals, and claim processes.
- Handle and resolve patient and insurance-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate efficiently with TPA representatives, insurance companies, treating doctors, and hospital departments.
- Ensure timely submission of medical documents required for insurance approvals and claims.
- Monitor pre-authorization, enhancement requests, claim approvals, and discharge-related insurance formalities.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance cases and follow up on pending approvals.
- Provide regular updates to patients and their families regarding the status of insurance approvals.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Identify issues proactively and provide practical solutions to minimize delays and improve workflow.
Requirements
- MBBS/BAMS/BHMS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital insurance coordination.
- Sound knowledge of hospital insurance processes, TPA procedures, and cashless claim management.
- Experience in insurance counseling and addressing insurance-related patient queries.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to liaise effectively between patients, doctors, hospital departments, and TPA/insurance companies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is mandatory (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
