Job Description:
The Associate in the YL Biomedical department at Manipal Hospitals is responsible for overseeing the biomedical engineering operations to ensure that all medical equipment is maintained and functioning correctly. This role involves coordinating equipment maintenance schedules, liaising with vendors for equipment procurement, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The Associate will also be involved in budgeting and resource allocation for biomedical engineering projects, training staff on equipment usage, and implementing new technologies to improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the biomedical engineering team.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to identify equipment needs and address any operational issues.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for medical equipment and service agreements.
  • Monitor budget and expenditures related to biomedical engineering projects.
