About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lab Manager to lead our Bangalore laboratory operations. In this role, you will oversee daily lab activities, ensure operational efficiency, maintain quality and regulatory standards, and lead a high-performing team to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory technicians while ensuring optimal staffing across shifts.
- Collaborate with medical and technical teams to ensure accurate testing and timely reporting.
- Monitor laboratory quality through IQC, EQAS, and adherence to NABL and internal quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and audit readiness.
- Oversee inventory planning, reagent availability, and equipment maintenance.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and turnaround time.
- Maintain operational records, review key performance metrics, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- 8+ years of experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality management systems, and NABL compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume diagnostic environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
