Senior Firmware Engineer – Medical Devices

About the Role

Invitronics MedTech is developing next-generation medical devices, including multi-parameter patient monitors and other connected healthcare technologies.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Firmware Engineer to develop reliable, production-grade embedded firmware and help take our existing patient-monitor firmware from development to a robust, production-ready product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop production-grade firmware using Embedded C/C++.
  • Develop and architect firmware on STM32 / ARM Cortex-M, preferably STM32H7 / Cortex-M7.
  • Develop FreeRTOS/RTOS-based applications.
  • Develop drivers and integrate sensors, displays, memory and peripherals.
  • Work with UART, SPI, I²C, DMA, interrupts and timers.
  • Design modular, scalable firmware architecture.
  • Develop display and memory subsystems.
  • Integrate ECG, SpO₂, NIBP, Temperature, Respiration and other patient-monitor functions.
  • Debug hardware–firmware integration using oscilloscope, logic analyzer and JTAG/SWD.
  • Implement watchdogs, fault handling, diagnostics, bootloaders and firmware updates.
  • Optimize firmware for reliability, performance and memory usage.
  • Collaborate with hardware, biomedical and software teams.
  • Support verification, validation and productionization.
  • Mentor junior firmware engineers and interns.

Required Skills

  • 3–7+ years of professional embedded firmware/product development
  • Strong Embedded C and STM32 experience
  • FreeRTOS / RTOS
  • UART, SPI, I²C, DMA, interrupts and timers
  • Firmware architecture and modular software design
  • Peripheral/driver development
  • Hardware–firmware integration and debugging
  • Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD
  • Git/version control
  • Ability to read schematics and work with hardware engineers
  • Strong ownership and problem-solving skills

Candidates do not need to have every display and memory technology listed above. Strong practical experience in several of these areas is highly valued.Advantage

What We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in an engineer who can bring experience into the team, review and improve existing firmware, and help take the product toward production readiness.

The ideal candidate is strong in STM32/RTOS and has significant practical experience in embedded display and/or memory architecture. Medical-device experience is a major advantage but is not mandatory.
