Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and highly skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our clinical engineering team. The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and devices used in the hospital are properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning according to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biomedical engineering principles, an understanding of hospital operations, and experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medical Equipment Management:
• Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and devices, including diagnostic and therapeutic machines.
• Perform regular maintenance and safety inspections on equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure all equipment is compliant with hospital and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, IEC, ISO).
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support and training to hospital staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Develop and update equipment manuals, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all equipment, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and calibrations.
• Assist in preparing reports for internal audits and external regulatory inspections.
• Ensure all equipment meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Project Management:
• Lead or participate in projects for the introduction of new medical devices or technology.
• Assist in budget management for the procurement, repair, and replacement of medical devices.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative staff to evaluate and select new equipment based on clinical needs.
• Work with vendors and manufacturers for service contracts, warranty claims, and troubleshooting support.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct regular testing of medical devices to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in biomedical engineering and healthcare equipment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in biomedical engineering or clinical engineering, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical devices used in hospital settings (e.g., ventilators, ECG machines, infusion pumps, imaging equipment, etc.).
• Experience with medical device regulations and standards (FDA, IEC, ISO).
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of medical equipment safety standards.
• Familiarity with computer systems and software related to medical equipment management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
