Role Overview

This position offers an opportunity for an early-career researcher to participate in the development of bioengineering and medical-technology solutions. The Junior Research Scientist will contribute to laboratory studies, biological testing, evaluation of materials and preparation of research and regulatory documentation.

The role requires scientific curiosity, careful experimental work and the ability to collaborate with researchers and engineers from different disciplines.

What You Will Work On

  • Experiments involving biomaterials, biosensors and medical-technology concepts.
  • Cell-culture activities using appropriate aseptic laboratory practices.
  • Preparation and evaluation of biological samples and materials.
  • Collection, organisation and interpretation of experimental results.
  • Scientific literature reviews and technology assessments.
  • Feasibility studies for new bioengineering concepts.
  • Preparation of experimental protocols, research summaries and technical presentations.
  • Documentation required for medical-device development and regulatory review.
  • Maintenance of clear laboratory notebooks and research records.
  • Safe handling of laboratory materials, equipment and biological samples.
  • Collaborative research with scientific and engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For

  • M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 0–3 years of relevant academic, research or industry experience.
  • Exposure to medical devices, biomaterials, biosensors or cell-culture techniques.
  • Understanding of biological experiments and laboratory practices.
  • Awareness of medical-device regulations and compliance requirements will be an advantage.
  • Ability to analyse scientific information and document findings clearly.
  • Careful, methodical and solution-oriented approach to research.
  • Fresh candidates with strong academic projects or relevant laboratory training may apply.
