About us

Nandi & Sons is an electrical contracting firm in Burdwan. We are doing two 33/11 kV substation and power line projects for the state power utility. Our site team has many years of experience in electrical repair and maintenance work. We need an Electrical Engineer to join our Burdwan office and support the team on these projects.

The role

You will work with our experienced site team. You will help with drawings, documents, measurements and testing, and visit our sites regularly. You will report to the proprietor.

What you will do

• Read electrical drawings and explain them to the site team
• Prepare project documents, drawings and test reports for the employer
• Prepare measurement sheets and bills
• Make and update the work schedule and progress reports
• Visit sites in Burdwan and Hooghly districts to check that work is done as per drawing
• Help with testing and commissioning
• Follow safety rules at site

What we are looking for

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 1 to 4 years of experience in electrical work. Project or site experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of 33 kV / 11 kV lines, cables, earthing or substation equipment is an advantage
• Able to use MS Excel and MS Word
• Ready to learn and to work with our team
• Able to work in the Burdwan office and travel to sites
• Can speak Bengali; basic English and Hindi
