Job Summary

The Account Head will be responsible for managing the overall finance and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic financial planning within the diamond/jewellery business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation)
  • Manage inventory accounting for diamonds, jewellery, and precious stones
  • Ensure accurate costing, valuation, and stock reconciliation
  • Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance
  • Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow reports
  • Coordinate with auditors (internal & external) and manage audits
  • Monitor and control company budgets and expenses
  • Supervise and guide the accounts team
  • Manage export-import documentation & financial transactions (if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with diamond industry regulations and financial practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), CA / Inter CA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Tally/ERP systems, and financial reporting
  • Experience in diamond/jewellery industry accounting is mandatory
  • Good understanding of inventory-heavy business models
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with diamond trading, manufacturing, or retail companies
  • Knowledge of export billing, foreign transactions, and currency handling
  • Familiarity with lab-grown diamond business operations
