Professional Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista, cashier, or in food and beverage service is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machines.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Role Purpose

A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace, handling customer orders, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, and ensuring a welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ø Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Ø Greet customers, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Ø Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and digital payments.
  • Ø Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café, equipment, and workstations.
  • Ø Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies as needed.
  • Ø Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Ø Recommend menu items and upsell products when appropriate.
  • Ø Monitor inventory and report stock shortages to the supervisor.
  • Ø Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
    • Ø Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ø Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, tea, smoothies, and other drinks according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Ø Greet guests, take beverage orders, and provide friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Ø Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely.
