Geologist

Location: Jamanagar/Porbandar/Dwaraka/ Rajkot/Gir Somnath, - Gujarat

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Geologist to oversee geological and mining activities, ensuring statutory compliance, resource optimization, grade control, and sustainable limestone mining operations. The role involves geological mapping, reserve estimation, exploration planning, mine development, and support for newly acquired mineral assets.

Key ResponsibilitiesStatutory Compliance

• Fulfill statutory duties as Geologist under MCDR and MMDR regulations.
• Ensure compliance with approved Mining Plans, EMPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with IBM, MoEF&CC, SPCB, and other authorities.
• Maintain statutory records, plans, returns, and compliance documentation.

Production Planning & Grade Control

• Support daily, monthly, and long-term mine production planning.
• Monitor limestone quality through systematic sampling and analysis.
• Optimize reserve utilization while minimizing dilution and wastage.
• Coordinate with Quality Control teams to meet plant requirements.

Exploration & Resource Management

• Conduct geological mapping, drilling supervision, core logging, and reserve estimation.
• Prepare geological sections, resource statements, and mine planning inputs.
• Maintain geological databases and support long-term mine development strategies.

Newly Acquired & Prospective Mines

• Conduct geological due diligence and reserve validation.
• Assess deposit quality, mineability, and sustainability.
• Support lease transfer documentation and statutory approvals.
• Participate in technical evaluation of auction and expansion mineral blocks.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare geological, production, quality, environmental, and MIS reports.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and reports.
• Monitor environmental parameters as per statutory norms.

Safety & IMS

• Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards.
• Implement and maintain IMS requirements across mining operations.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of mining experience, preferably in the cement industry.
• Strong knowledge of MCDR, MMDR Act, IBM guidelines, and mining regulations.
• Experience in reserve estimation, grade control, and geological documentation.
• Proficiency in geological mapping, exploration, and mine planning.
• Excellent reporting, analytical, and compliance management skills.
