About Printsy

Printsy is an Australian startup in the 3D printing industry, focused on developing premium-quality 3D printing filaments and a growing library of original 3D printable models for makers, creators, and businesses worldwide.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Social Media Manager who can take ownership of Printsy's social media presence, content strategy, audience growth, and digital marketing.

This role is ideal for someone who is both creative and growth-focused — someone who understands what makes content perform, can create and edit content independently, and knows how to turn social media attention into a growing community and stronger brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Printsy's social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and other relevant channels.
• Plan and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
• Create, edit, and publish engaging short-form content including Reels, TikToks, Shorts, product videos, educational content, memes, trends, and promotional content.
• Take ownership of the complete content process — from identifying ideas and trends to creating, editing, publishing, and analyzing performance.
• Create content around 3D printing, 3D models, filaments, makers, products, behind-the-scenes content, tutorials, and the wider 3D printing community.
• Develop creative campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, followers, website traffic, and sales.
• Research current social media trends, formats, sounds, hooks, and content styles and adapt them to the Printsy brand.
• Write engaging captions, hooks, CTAs, post copy, and campaign messaging.
• Analyze social media performance and use data to continuously improve content strategy.
• Track key metrics such as reach, engagement, watch time, follower growth, clicks, conversions, and content performance.
• Identify high-performing content and develop variations and follow-up content around successful ideas.
• Build and grow an active community around Printsy by responding to comments, messages, and engaging with relevant creators and communities.
• Collaborate with the 3D design and marketing team to develop campaigns and product launches.
• Help create promotional graphics, thumbnails, advertisements, and other digital marketing assets.
• Assist with influencer and creator outreach, collaborations, product seeding, and social media partnerships.
• Stay up to date with social media algorithms, platform changes, emerging trends, and new content formats.
• Experiment with new content strategies and formats to identify opportunities for growth.
• Use AI tools and modern content-creation tools to improve ideation, production, research, and workflow efficiency.

3D & Creative Skills Required

This is not a traditional social media scheduling role. You should be comfortable creating visual content yourself.

• Strong video editing skills.
• Experience creating short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.
• Familiarity with 3D software such as Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, or similar.
• Ability to understand and work with 3D renders, animations, product visualizations, and 3D assets.
• Basic to intermediate graphic design skills.
• Experience with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, or similar.
• Ability to create visually compelling content without relying entirely on external designers.

Growth & Marketing Skills

• Demonstrated understanding of social media growth strategies.
• Strong understanding of content hooks, retention, engagement, and shareability.
• Ability to research competitors, trends, audiences, and content opportunities.
• Experience using social media analytics and insights to make data-driven decisions.
• Understanding of organic growth strategies.
• Basic understanding of paid social media advertising is an advantage.
