ABOUT ROLE:

Project Research Scientist I (Non- Medical)

This is a full-time, on-site, temporary research position under the ICMR-funded NPAC India Study (National Pregnancy and Cardiac Disease of India Study). The position is based at the Cardiovascular Research Unit, Institute of Cardiology, Madras Medical College, Chennai.

The Project Research Scientist I will be responsible for supporting the conduct of the research project, including data collection, data management, statistical analysis using software such as SPSS and R, interpretation of research findings, preparation of research reports and manuscripts, and contribution to research publications. The selected candidate will also assist in coordinating research activities and maintaining the quality and integrity of study data.

Expected Qualification:

• Candidates with a First-class postgraduate degree, [including integrated PG degree] in Public health, Biostatistics, clinical research, epidemiology, health informatics, bioinformatics, life sciences, applied Biology, Biochemistry, Life science, Medical Microbiology or equivalent

or

• PhD in above subjects Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Life science, Microbiology [Those with a second-class postgraduate degree may also apply if they hold a PhD].
• Candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience in clinical research, with preference to those in clinical trials or
• Age 35 or below 35.

Preference may be given to

• Experience in health research, including data collection, data management, data analysis and data monitoring.
• Experience in the use of statistical software such as SPSS, R or equivalent.
• Experience in scientific writing, including preparation of research reports, abstracts and manuscripts.
• Experience in clinical research, epidemiological studies or multicentre research projects will be an added advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: ₹72,800.00 per month
