Copy Editor for a Publishing Company jobs

E-publishing experience is a must

. The job involves checking and correcting mechanical errors and inconsistencies; infelicities of grammar, usage, and syntax; punctuation; and errors in content following publisher guidelines or other style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style, APA, and MLA. The copy editor is also expected to work closely with authors and the publisher to produce high-quality books that meet the needs to the intended audience. The job also involves liaising with the author, getting the copyedited files reviewed from them, cleaning up the author-reviewed copyedited files, QCing the work of junior editors, and delivering them on time.
