Job Title: Plant Manager / Business Development Manager NPK FertilizerBlending, Nepal

Location: Birgunj, Nepal

Reporting to: Director, Setco Trading

About the Role:We are a UAE-based fertilizer trading company establishing an NPK bulk blending plant in Birgunj, Nepal. This is a ground-floor opportunity you will be involved from day one in plant setup, operations, and market development. What you will own:

• Plant side machine selection input and vendor evaluation, plant layout, commissioning, daily operations, quality control, blending ratios, raw material inventory management.
• Market side building agrovet relationships across Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Rautahat districts, farmer demonstration coordination, pricing intelligence, competitor tracking.
• Regulatory side Nepal fertilizer registration, quality certification, MoALD liaison, local compliance.

Technical requirements you must be comfortable with:

• NPK bulk blending operations end to end
• PLC batching systems and loadcell calibration and troubleshooting
• Mixers, bucket elevators, conveyors, and bagging lines
• Formulating crop specific blends including 15-15-15, 20-20-0, 10-26-26 and custom grades
• Equipment commissioning from scratch and troubleshooting under pressure
• Training and managing plant operators
• Getting on the plant floor yourself when problems happen this is not a supervisory only role

What we need from you non negotiable:

• Minimum 10 years in the fertilizer industry
• Hands on experience in a bulk blending or NPK manufacturing plant not just trading
• Has commissioned or set up a plant before
• Direct agrovet or dealer relationship experience in India or Nepal
• Understands granular blending particle size matching, segregation control, anticaking agents
• Comfortable relocating to Birgunj permanently
• Fluent in Hindi Nepali is a strong bonus
• B.Sc or B.Tech in Agriculture, Agricultural Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
• M.Sc in Agronomy, Soil Science, or Agricultural Chemistry strongly preferred candidates with Masters level understanding of plant nutrition and soil fertility will be prioritized

What we don't want:Someone who has only worked inside large corporate systems and needs a committee to make decisions. This role needs a self starter who can operate lean, move fast, and figure things out on the ground. If you have never stood on a plant floor and fixed something with your hands you are not the right person for this role.

Pay: From ₹80,000.00 per month
