Technical Support Analyst – Software for Packaging Industry

Location: Remote (India-based) – Potential hybrid role in Chennai
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST

KMSS is a well-established software company with offices in the UK and India. Our flagship product supports businesses in the corrugated cardboard packaging industry. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding support and continuously enhancing our bespoke CRM and ERP software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our custom-built CRM and ERP systems
  • Respond to client support queries via phone and email
  • Connect to client systems using remote desktop tools to troubleshoot issues
  • Deploy new software versions and assist with upgrade processes
  • Create and maintain support documentation and guides
  • Escalate complex issues to the development team with detailed context
  • Assist in testing new features and system changes
  • Design custom templates using the Delphi programming language
  • Write SQL queries and work with Interbase databases

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong computer literacy and confident use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience with ERP or business management software systems
  • Solid organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and keen to learn and grow
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Remote Desktop applications
  • Some experience or familiarity with Delphi or other programming languages

A Typical Day in the Role

You’ll work closely with a supportive team across India and the UK. After training, you’ll begin taking client calls, responding to support emails, logging tickets, and progressing through your task list. You’ll balance routine tasks with more technical activities like template design or testing new features.

Work from Home Requirements

Initially, this role is fully remote. However, it may transition to a hybrid position in our Chennai office. To work from home, you must have:

  • A reliable computer or laptop with a working camera
  • A headset for calls and Teams meetings
  • A quiet, interruption-free workspace
  • A stable internet connection of at least 50 Mbps for remote access, VoIP calls, and video conferencing
