Job Overview-

We are looking for a detail-oriented Subtitle/ Transcription & Closed Captioning Executive to accurately transcribe audio/video content and create high-quality closed captions. The ideal candidate should have strong language skills, excellent listening ability, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy, timing, and readability.

Key Responsibilities-

• Transcribe audio and video content verbatim or clean verbatim as per project requirements
• Create and sync closed captions and subtitles for videos (films, web content, ads, interviews, etc.)
• Ensure captions are time-coded accurately and aligned with audio
• Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency
• Follow captioning standards, accessibility guidelines, and client specifications
• Handle multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
• Coordinate with the post-production/content team for revisions and updates
• Maintain confidentiality of all audio/video materials

Required Skills & Qualifications-

• Excellent command of English (additional languages are a plus)
• Strong listening and comprehension skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with transcription and captioning tools/software
• (e.g., Aegisub, Subtitle Edit, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Understanding of time-coding and subtitle formatting
• Basic knowledge of video formats and workflows
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Preferred Qualifications-

• Prior experience in transcription or closed captioning
• Experience working with media, entertainment, or digital content
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (CC, SDH, subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing)
• Fast and accurate typing speed

Education-

• Graduate or equivalent (language, media, or communication background preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
