Job Description – Electrical Costing , Engineer Position : Electrical Costing Engineer Department Estimation & Costing

Reporting To Manager – Estimation / Business Head Location Kolkata Experience Required 1–2 Years (Electrical Panel Manufacturing Industry Preferred)

Qualification Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge of LT Panels, PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC Panels, VFD Panels, Distribution Boards, and Control Panels Job Summary The Electrical Costing Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, techno-commercial offers, BOQ analysis, vendor coordination, and tender costing for electrical panel projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge and commercial understanding to ensure competitive and profitable quotations. Key Responsibilities Estimation & Costing Prepare detailed cost estimates based on customer specifications and tender documents. Analyze technical drawings, SLDs, BOQs, and customer requirements. Calculate material, labor, overhead, and project costs. Prepare costing sheets for PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, and Distribution Panels. Evaluate project profitability before submission. Tender & Proposal Preparation Study RFQs, tenders, and enquiry documents. Prepare techno-commercial quotations and proposals. Coordinate with sales and design teams for technical clarifications. Maintain quotation records and costing databases. Vendor Coordination Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Compare vendor offers and negotiate for optimum pricing. Update material price databases regularly. Technical Support Support the sales team during technical discussions with customers. Participate in pre-bid meetings when required. Provide technical clarifications related to offered solutions. Documentation & MIS Maintain estimation records and cost history. Generate monthly reports on quotations submitted, orders received, and win ratios. Support management with cost analysis and improvement recommendations. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Electrical Panels and Switchgear. Understanding of Schneider, ABB, Siemens, L&T, Legrand, and Eaton products. Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs. Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and costing software. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Knowledge of GST, commercial terms, FAT, SAT, and contractual conditions.

Pay: ₹10,465.27 - ₹18,000.00 per month
