Ecommerce Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Ecommerce Operations Manager to oversee the operational functions of a fast-growing ecommerce business. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations while supporting the growth and performance of the ecommerce platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in inventory management, supply chain coordination, order fulfilment, customer operations, and business systems. In addition to operational responsibilities, you will also work closely with ecommerce, marketing, technology, and design teams to support website performance, product launches, and business initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Supply Chain

• Manage day-to-day business operations and ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock control, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Monitor stock replenishment and product availability.
• Manage procurement activities and purchase order coordination.
• Improve operational workflows and implement process improvements.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Order Fulfilment

• Oversee the complete order lifecycle from order placement to delivery.
• Monitor order processing and fulfilment performance.
• Resolve operational issues related to deliveries, returns, and refunds.
• Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.

Customer Operations

• Manage customer escalations related to orders and fulfilment.
• Work closely with customer support teams to improve the post-purchase experience.
• Analyse recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.

Systems & Reporting

• Manage inventory, ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS, and other operational systems.
• Maintain accurate operational data across business platforms.
• Prepare reports on inventory, fulfilment, supplier performance, and operational KPIs.
• Analyse business data and recommend operational improvements.

Ecommerce Management

• Support the day-to-day management of the ecommerce platform.
• Coordinate product launches, catalogue updates, pricing, and merchandising.
• Work with Marketing to execute promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with Design and Technology teams on website improvements and new feature releases.
• Monitor website performance and recommend improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing before website updates are deployed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, business operations, supply chain, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement, fulfilment, and supply chain processes.
• Experience working with Shopify or another ecommerce platform.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, OMS, WMS, or inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) or similar analytics tools.
• Familiarity with website QA and ecommerce merchandising.
• Experience with process automation or business intelligence tools.
