Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to manage and execute electrical works for EPC Oil & Gas industrial projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, project execution, site management, client coordination, and compliance with international and Indian standards while ensuring timely project completion within budget and quality requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution

  • Execute electrical works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Construction teams.
  • Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progress as per project milestones.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Electrical Systems

Experience in execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of:

  • HT & LT Power Distribution Systems
  • 33KV / 11KV / 6.6KV Switchgear
  • PCC, MCC & PMCC Panels
  • VFD Panels
  • DG Synchronization Panels
  • UPS Systems
  • Transformer Installation & Testing
  • Bus Duct & Cable Tray Systems
  • Power & Control Cable Laying
  • Cable Glanding & Termination
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection System
  • Indoor & Outdoor Lighting System
  • Hazardous Area Electrical Installations
  • Electrical Heat Tracing (Preferred)

Testing & Commissioning

  • Transformer Testing
  • Switchgear Testing
  • Relay Testing & Protection Coordination
  • IR, Continuity & Hi-Pot Tests
  • Functional Testing
  • Pre-Commissioning Activities
  • System Energization
  • Preparation of Commissioning Reports

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Attend technical meetings and project review meetings.
  • Resolve technical issues at site.
  • Ensure timely material availability and site resource planning.
  • Review and verify BOQ, drawings, and technical specifications.

Documentation

  • Review Electrical Drawings and SLDs.
  • Preparation of Method Statements.
  • Inspection Requests (IRs).
  • Material Inspection Reports.
  • As-Built Drawings.
  • Red Markups.
  • Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
  • Measurement Sheets.
  • Billing & Quantity Verification.
  • Final Handover Documentation.

Safety & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and project safety procedures.
  • Follow electrical safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
  • Ensure work is executed as per QA/QC requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC engineers.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Electrical EPC Projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical Drawings, SLDs, GA Drawings, and Schematics.
  • Knowledge of Indian Standards (IS), IEC, IEEE, NEC, and Oil & Gas standards.
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Area Classification.
  • Experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning.
  • Knowledge of cable sizing, load calculations, and earthing design.
  • Understanding of project planning and scheduling.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
