Manager / Senior Manager – Finance & Commercial

Core Responsibilities

A. Corporate Planning & Strategic Systems

  • Act as a core contributor to organizational development and corporate planning across all levels.
  • Lead the preparation of revenue forecasts, working capital requirements, and ROI analysis.
  • Design and implement robust financial policies and systems tailored to the company’s evolving needs.
  • Conduct business risk mitigation analysis and provide actionable strategic suggestions.
  • Preparation of monthly P&L and circulating to management with variance analysis.

B. Financial Management & Budgeting

  • Oversee end-to-end Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Control, and Margin Analysis.
  • Monitor profitability across various business lines and generate comprehensive management reports.
  • Conduct rigorous variance analysis between projected and actual expenditure, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

C. Banking, Treasury & Working Capital

  • Manage monthly cash flow, fund flow statements, and treasury functions.
  • Drive Debtors/Creditors control to optimize the cash conversion cycle.
  • Need to ensure timely payments done to principal vendors.
  • Closing of BOE with the Bank.

D. Accounts, Audit & Control

  • Supervise the finalization of accounts, including divisional and branch accounting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory and Internal Auditors.
  • Manage inventory/stores accounting and implement high-standard Credit Control measures.
  • Ensure full implementation of relevant Accounting Standards

E. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Lead tax planning and interface with authorities for TDS, GST, and Income Tax assessments.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to the Companies Act, including filing of annual returns and statutory forms.
  • Oversee the payment of license fees, revenue shares, and withholding taxes for global partners.
  • Manage personal taxation and staff-related compliances (PF/ESI).

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA Finance.
  • Experience: 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a comprehensive finance role.
  • Industry Background: Experience in distribution, retail, or licensing-based business models is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven track record of contributing to management-level discussions and strategic planning.
  • Compliance Expert: Deep knowledge of Indian taxation (GST, Income Tax) and Companies Act regulations.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Should have worked in Microsoft Dynamics-ERP.
