Full job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Executive to ensure that all raw materials, in-process products, and finished ice cream products meet the company's quality and food safety standards. The candidate will be responsible for conducting quality checks, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Quality Control

  • Inspect and verify incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and additives as per quality specifications.
  • Conduct sampling and testing of raw materials before approval for production.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams regarding quality concerns.

In-Process Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
  • Conduct routine quality checks during mixing, pasteurization, homogenization, aging, freezing, and packaging processes.
  • Verify critical control points (CCPs) and maintain quality records.

Finished Product Inspection

  • Perform quality testing of finished ice cream products for appearance, texture, taste, weight, temperature, and packaging integrity.
  • Ensure products meet internal specifications and regulatory standards before dispatch.
  • Identify and report quality deviations and non-conformities.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain QC reports, testing records, batch records, and inspection logs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and FSSAI requirements.
  • Assist during internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Monitor factory hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with personal hygiene standards among production staff.
  • Conduct routine inspections of production and storage areas.

Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate quality complaints and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce wastage.
  • Support quality awareness and training initiatives for production personnel.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Diploma in Food Technology or Dairy Technology may also be considered.

Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control within the food, dairy, beverage, or ice cream manufacturing industry.
  • Freshers with relevant educational qualifications may be considered for junior positions.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and quality systems.
  • Understanding of GMP, GHP, HACCP, and FSSAI regulations.
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and quality documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in dairy or frozen dessert manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of microbiological and chemical testing procedures.
  • Exposure to ISO 22000, BRC, or food safety management systems.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
