Position: Quality Control, Food Safety & Operations Executive

Reporting To: Management / Operations Head

Job Purpose

Responsible for quality control and food safety compliance at Kaizer in accordance with FSSAI requirements, while supporting production, warehouse, supply chain, e-commerce and operational activities. The role will ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, process discipline and timely operational reporting.

Qualification

Essential: B.Tech. Biotechnology and M.Tech. Biotechnology.

Relevant backgrounds include Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture / Horticultural Sciences, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology and Oil Technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant & Production Operations

  • Monitor plant operations, production processes, hygiene, GMP and adherence to SOPs.
  • Coordinate production activities and resolve operational deviations.

2. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan and monitor production schedules based on orders, inventory, manpower and material availability.
  • Track production against targets and timelines.

3. QA, QC, Food Safety & FSMS

  • Conduct raw material, in-process and finished-product quality checks.
  • Maintain quality records, traceability and food safety controls.
  • Implement and monitor FSMS, GMP, hygiene and sanitation practices.

4. Regulatory & Certification Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, Legal Metrology and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Support regulatory, customer, certification and internal audits.

5. Inventory & Warehouse

  • Monitor raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
  • Ensure FIFO / FEFO, batch control, expiry monitoring, storage conditions and stock reconciliation.

6. E-commerce, Dispatch & Logistics

  • Coordinate e-commerce / marketplace operations, order fulfilment, dispatch and shipments.
  • Ensure correct product, quantity, batch, packaging and documentation.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and resolve shipment issues.

7. Returns & Replacements

  • Manage returns, replacements and returned-stock inspection.
  • Investigate reasons for returns and reconcile physical and system stock.

8. MIS & Operational Reporting

  • Prepare daily MIS covering production, quality, inventory, dispatch, returns, productivity, yield and other operational KPIs.
  • Report deviations and critical issues to management.

9. Manpower & Training

  • Coordinate manpower deployment and monitor operational discipline.
  • Conduct training on SOPs, GMP, hygiene, food safety, quality and process requirements.
  • Maintain training and competency records.

10. SOPs & Internal Audits

  • Develop, implement and periodically review SOPs and work instructions.
  • Conduct internal audits, document observations and monitor corrective-action closure.

11. Customer Complaints, RCA & CAPA

  • Investigate customer complaints and quality issues.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement, monitor and verify CAPA.

12. Productivity, Yield & Process Improvement

  • Monitor productivity, yield, wastage, rejection and rework.
  • Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or food safety.

13. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, R&D, Packaging and Supply Chain for product development, material quality, production planning and fulfilment.
  • Support new product development and process / packaging changes.

14. Import & Export Support

  • Support import and export operations, documentation, logistics and quality / compliance requirements.

15. Product Labels & Artwork

  • Review product labels and packaging artwork for FSSAI, Legal Metrology and other applicable compliance requirements.
  • Verify mandatory declarations, batch details, ingredients, net quantity, manufacturing / expiry information and approved artwork versions.

16. Supplier Quality & Cost Reduction

  • Monitor supplier quality and incoming material performance.
  • Coordinate supplier corrective actions, supplier development and alternate supplier evaluation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality and compliance.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, QA/QC, GMP, HACCP and FSMS
  • Understanding of FSSAI and Legal Metrology requirements
  • Good analytical, documentation, audit and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of production, warehouse and supply chain processes
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to train and manage operational manpower
  • Good Excel and MIS reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple functions

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
