Medical Stenographer / Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (Based on experience and skills)

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Medical Stenographer / Medical Assistant to support our lead physician in maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring smooth clinical operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent English shorthand and typing skills, along with the ability to accurately document patient consultations and medical records. Freshers with strong stenography skills and willingness to learn medical terminology are encouraged to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Dictation & Transcription
- Take real-time shorthand dictation during patient consultations.
- Transcribe audio recordings, consultation notes, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately.
- Ensure timely and error-free documentation in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Medical Documentation
- Prepare and update patient medical records.
- Record diagnoses, prescriptions, investigations, and treatment plans as instructed by the physician.
- Maintain accurate and organized clinical documentation.
Administrative Support
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments and managing the doctor's calendar.
- Coordinate with laboratory and diagnostic teams regarding patient investigations.
- Handle patient reports and maintain proper documentation.
Confidentiality & Compliance
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow hospital policies, medical ethics, and NABH documentation standards.
- Ensure all medical records are accurate, secure, and updated.
Eligibility Criteria Education
- Graduate, or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Certification in Stenography, Secretarial Practice, or Medical Transcription is preferred.
Experience
- Fresher to 2 years of experience in a clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting.
- Freshers with excellent shorthand and typing skills are welcome to apply.
Required Skills
- English shorthand speed of 80–100+ WPM.
- Typing speed of 40–60+ WPM with high accuracy.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred; training can be provided).
- Proficiency in MS Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
