Full job description

  • Scan items, provide price information, and process payments accurately using cash registers or electronic scanners.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision and integrity.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and ensure that any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including removing any debris or spills.
  • Answer customer questions and provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
  • Assist customers with bagging their purchases and provide carryout service as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain an efficient and pleasant shopping environment.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the store manager or supervisor.
