Full Stack Web Developer jobs

We are looking for an experienced web developer to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve multiple websites and web applications.

Our websites are primarily built with CodeIgniter 4, PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with existing and legacy codebases, resolving production issues, and implementing new pages and features without affecting existing functionality, design, or SEO.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve existing CodeIgniter 4, PHP, WordPress, and static HTML websites.
• Diagnose and resolve frontend, backend, database, and server-related issues.
• Create new responsive pages based on provided designs and content.
• Modify existing controllers, routes, views, templates, and configuration files.
• Develop and troubleshoot WordPress REST API integrations.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Improve website performance, security, and mobile responsiveness.
• Manage redirects, canonical URLs, metadata, schema markup, and other technical SEO requirements.
• Test changes on localhost or staging before deployment.
• Deploy updates safely and provide a clear list of all files changed.
• Use Git and GitHub to manage and review code changes.

Required skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with CodeIgniter 4, Node.js and PHP.
• Good experience with Core WordPress development and troubleshooting.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design skills.
• Good JavaScript knowledge.
• Strong MySQL and database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git and GitHub.
• Ability to understand and safely modify existing or legacy codebases.
• Ability to diagnose bugs, improve performance, and implement new features.
• Understanding of website security and secure coding practices.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with Linux servers and command-line tools.
• Experience with DigitalOcean, Hostinger, cPanel, Plesk, AWS or similar hosting platforms.
• Knowledge of Apache, .htaccess, redirects, and URL rewriting.
• Experience maintaining multiple websites.
