Job Description – Junior Executive (Map Division)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Executive for the Map Division. The candidate will assist in GIS mapping, spatial data analysis, remote sensing activities, and preparation of thematic maps using various geospatial tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and updating of digital maps using GIS software.
• Handling spatial and non-spatial data for mapping projects.
• Image processing and interpretation using Remote Sensing techniques.
• Digitization, geo-referencing, and map editing activities.
• Creation of thematic maps, layouts, and cartographic outputs.
• Collection, verification, and management of GIS database.
• Support in survey data integration and spatial analysis.
• Coordination with project teams for map preparation and reporting.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of mapping data and outputs.
• Preparation of technical reports and documentation related to GIS projects.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, or similar tools.
• Understanding of spatial database management.
• Basic knowledge of GPS survey and map projections.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Master’s degree in Geoinformatics / GIS / Remote Sensing.
• Experience in map drafting and spatial data handling preferred.
• Knowledge of satellite imagery interpretation will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Pay: ₹39,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
