Job DescriptionJob Summary:Under the direction of a Director Operations/ COO, the General Manager is responsible to manage property operations on a day-to-day basis of a single property to assure optimum performance and continual improvement in the five Key Result Areas (guest service, employees, sales/marketing, property appearance (Facility Management) and profit /financial control. Coordinates, directs, and manages the staff and everyday Centre operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and efficiency while maintaining standards set by the company assuring 100% guest satisfaction.Desired Candidate Profile:

  • UG: Diploma in Hotel Management, B.A in Hotel Management, BHM in Hotel Management, BHMCT in Hotel Management: MBA/PGDM in Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum 7 years to 12 years of experience as a General Manager (Retail/Hospitality/Hotel/Restaurant)

Skills Required:

  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, facility management and employee management.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Computer Skills:

  • Windows Operating system.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software including ability to use e-mail.
  • Word processing.
  • POS (Point of Sale) and spreadsheet software.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Directly manages the Centre staff on daily basis; supervises the employees on the Property. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Centre.
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems with the help of Human Resources.
  • Responsible for maximizing revenues and flow through to GOP-Gross Operating Profit to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA.
  • Responsible for preparation of property budget and forecasts.
  • Manages labor standards and property level expenses to achieve maximum flow through to the bottom-line profit.
  • To review DSR and other reports on a daily basis.
  • Promotes 100% guest satisfaction throughout property. Instils the 100% guest satisfaction objective to AGM and hourly associates.
  • Ensures that all guest related issues are resolved in a manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.
  • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
  • To create, implement and maintain standard operations procedures.
  • To monitor daily operational activities.
  • To increase operational efficiency with team management by adhering SOPs
  • To increase guest satisfaction by performing standard practices
  • The overall responsibility for all aspects of the Facility
  • To manage the Supervisors and managers to insure they are adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure safety rules are adhered to on a daily basis.
  • To ensure the operation is consistent and efficient.
  • To support and council staff on any issues, problems, or challenges.
  • To manage all Budget aspects to achieve desired profitability.
  • To ensure Guest experience is exceptional and memorable.
  • To handle any major problems or issues on a timely basis.
  • To drive & monitor the banquet sales with store sales team.
  • Channelize the sponsorship.
  • To create the tie up with corporate and school for offsite events and picnics
  • To keep the corporate staff informed.
  • To schedule regular internal staff meeting to keep your key managers informed.
  • To assist marketing in presenting the best product possible.
  • To meet with local businesses and leaders to promote the Facility and Overall image.
  • To represent the Company at major events.
  • To present to Corporate an accurate and truthful operations plan.
  • To present monthly results to Corporate with explanations and suggestions.
