THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven Tech Manager to own end-to-end technology delivery across our product suite. You will bridge strategy and execution — managing development sprints, guiding a cross-functional team, and ensuring our platforms are always race-ready. You will report directly to the founding team and have strong influence over product direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product & Engineering

• Own the full lifecycle of web, mobile (iOS & Android), and SaaS products from ideation through deployment
• Define technical architecture and ensure scalability, security, and uptime for high-traffic race-day scenarios
• Lead sprint planning, sprint reviews, and backlog grooming using Agile / Scrum methodology
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into engineering specs
• Oversee API integrations with payment gateways, timing chip vendors, mapping services, and logistics partners
• Ensure mobile app performance across Android and iOS, managing releases on Play Store and App Store
• AWS hosting expertise

Team & Operations

• Hire, mentor, and manage a team of vendors
• Establish coding standards, review processes, and documentation practices across all repos
• Drive incident response and post-mortem culture to achieve near-zero downtime on event days
• Manage cloud infrastructure costs and vendor contracts (AWS)
• Act as the primary technical liaison for external technology partners and race organisers
• Provide regular progress updates and technical roadmaps to leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining consumer-facing web applications and mobile apps
• Hands-on experience with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, or equivalent) and backend stacks (Node.js, Python, or Java)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

PREFERRED / GOOD TO HAVE

• Prior experience in sports-tech, events management, or high-traffic real-time applications
• Knowledge of data analytics platforms and dashboarding tools for post-race reporting
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification
• Passion for running, fitness, or endurance sports is a strong plus
• Good English communication skills

· Mon to Fri in most weeks

· Some weekend ‘on call’ needed when events are being conducted

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
