JOB DESCRIPTION RESEARCH Associate

1. Job Summary

The Research Associate will support research activities in the Genetics Department, focusing on the genetic and molecular biological aspects of diabetes. The role involves patient recruitment, sample collection, laboratory activities, research data management, collaborative projects, and assisting senior researchers with publications and research proposals.

1.To take up research projects on genetics and molecular biological aspects of diabetes.

2. To collect samples and data for collaborative projects with external research teams.

3. To look for concrete research proposals related to diabetes which can be executed.

4. To enrol/recruit patients for the studies as per inclusion and exclusion criteria

5. Management of research data related to internal studies and community studies.

6. To keep a record of long term follows up of patients for various studies.

7. Work with clinical department representatives to identify potential research topics and propose new projects

8. To coordinate and work with other research departments

9. To do wet lab work under the guidance of supervisor.

10. Work with clinical department representatives to identify potential research topics and propose new projects.

12. To design new studies in the genetics department and Present research for external funding.

13. Assists senior researchers with summarization, analysis, and organization of data for publication.

14. To help with the preparation of manuscript.

15. Check the equipments working condition and report.

16. Maintaining log book for stored samples from other research departments for sample storing in the genetic lab.

17. Basic reagent and glassware preparation based on SOP for the experiment.

18. To attend research review committee meetings.(RRC)

19. Maintaining all the important and confidential data pertaining to various studies being conducted.

20. Submitting periodic reports on all the ongoing studies to President/Associate Director of Research/ Assistant Director of Research.

21. Responsible to maintain all equipments, computers & its accessories (If any used) & Report to Biomedical Engineer / Maintenance Dept. / IT Dept. whenever any fault has occurred.

22. Any other responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.

23. To submit a daily report to the Associate Director of Research/ Assistant Director of Research about the work performed by you on a day to day basis.

24. Responsible to maintain all relevant records / registers / files documents as per requirements and ensure it is kept in a safe custody and retrieved as and when required.

Preferred candidate profile

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
