Job Overview

We are seeking a German Language Trainer to conduct in-person German language classes for learners across proficiency levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, according to the trainer’s qualifications, proficiency, and teaching experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong German language skills, a good understanding of German grammar and communication, and the ability to help students progressively develop their language proficiency. Experience preparing students for Goethe-Zertifikat examinations or equivalent German language examinations will be an advantage.

This is an on-site position. The selected candidate must conduct classes from our HSR Layout office in Bengaluru. Work from home is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structured, in-person German language classes for students at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, based on the trainer’s demonstrated proficiency and teaching capabilities.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, exercises, presentations, and practice activities appropriate to different proficiency levels.
• Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Teach German grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, and practical communication.
• Help students improve their fluency, accuracy, comprehension, and confidence in using German.
• Prepare students for Goethe-Zertifikat examinations and other relevant German language proficiency examinations, where applicable.
• Conduct assessments, practice tests, mock examinations, and regular progress evaluations.
• Identify students’ learning gaps and provide constructive feedback and additional support.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit students’ individual learning needs and proficiency levels.
• Maintain attendance records, student progress reports, lesson schedules, and other training documentation.
• Create a positive, interactive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Coordinate with the OrigoVisa team regarding student progress, batch schedules, training requirements, and learning outcomes.
• Stay updated on German language teaching methods, examination formats, and relevant learning resources.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong proficiency in the German language, preferably at C1 or C2 level, supported by a recognized certificate or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• A recognized German language proficiency certificate, such as Goethe-Zertifikat, telc Deutsch, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
• A German language teaching qualification or certification, such as Goethe-Institut DLL (Deutsch Lehren Lernen) or an equivalent teaching credential, is preferred.
• Good understanding of German grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language-learning methodologies.
• Ability to explain German language concepts clearly and teach students effectively.
• Strong communication, presentation, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare structured lessons, conduct assessments, and monitor student progress.
• Willingness and ability to conduct classes in person at the OrigoVisa office in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.

Teaching Levels and Candidate Expectations

• The role covers the full German proficiency range: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2.
• Candidates may be considered for the levels they are qualified and demonstrably competent to teach.
• Candidates with C1 or C2 proficiency and relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates applying to teach advanced C1 or C2 classes should demonstrate the advanced language proficiency, subject knowledge, and teaching experience needed for those levels.
• Experience preparing students for Goethe-Zertifikat or equivalent examinations is an advantage.
• Candidates with experience teaching students preparing for higher education, employment, or other opportunities in Germany will be preferred.

Experience

Relevant German language teaching experience is preferred. Candidates with strong language proficiency, appropriate teaching credentials, and the ability to deliver effective classroom instruction may also be considered.
