Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to join the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) team for a leading financial services organization in Singapore.

This is a hands-on Cloud Architecture and Engineering role. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions while also translating architecture into working implementations using automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and modern cloud engineering practices.

The role will involve working closely with Application Teams, CloudOps, SRE, DBA, Security, Enterprise Architecture and Business Stakeholders to drive cloud transformation, modernization, security, governance and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures for enterprise and digital workloads.
• Define and maintain cloud reference architectures, reusable patterns and engineering standards.
• Review solution architectures covering scalability, reliability, high availability, performance, security and cost optimization.
• Drive adoption of AWS cloud best practices across projects and platforms.
• Partner with enterprise architects, business stakeholders and engineering teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
• Support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

Hands-on Cloud Engineering

• Design and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Build, configure and manage AWS infrastructure and services including:
• EC2
• ECS / EKS
• Lambda
• ELB
• RDS
• EFS / FSx
• S3
• KMS
• Secrets Manager
• EventBridge
• CloudWatch
• IAM
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation and scripts using Python, Ansible, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• Implement and support container-based deployments and Kubernetes platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues across production and non-production environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.

Cloud Security & Governance

• Design secure AWS cloud architectures following security best practices.
• Implement least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management and identity/access controls.
• Implement and support cloud security controls including:
• IAM
• KMS
• CloudTrail
• GuardDuty
• Security monitoring
• Network security controls
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with security and governance standards.
• Work with Security and Risk teams to address audit findings and compliance requirements.
• Support cloud governance, policy implementation and cloud guardrails.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture and/or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS.
• Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, ELB, RDS, EFS, FSx, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, CloudWatch and IAM.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking:
• VPC
• Transit Gateway
• Direct Connect
• Routing
• Network security controls
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting/automation experience with Python, Ansible, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, secrets management and access controls.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, highly available, secure and cost-optimized architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with production environments and complex technical issue resolution.

About the Role

This opportunity is suited to a hands-on AWS Cloud Architect who can operate across both architecture and engineering — someone who can design enterprise cloud solutions and also implement, automate, secure, troubleshoot and optimize those solutions.

Pay: ₹671,712.14 - ₹5,011,658.27 per year
