The physical layout features 10 active dental operatories served by a central waiting lounge designed for approximately 10 to 15 seated patients. This architectural footprint creates a distinct operational challenge: high patient turnover across 10 simultaneous operatories must be managed within a compact reception envelope without extending waiting times or causing clinical bottlenecks.

Without systematic floor coordination, multi-specialty handoffs, chair turnover sterilization, and unexpected walk-in emergencies can cause chair vacancy imbalances, extended waiting periods, and administrative friction. The position of Floor Manager provides real-time operational governance across the physical floor, orchestrating auxiliary clinical staff, synchronizing operatory turnover, enforcing NABH compliance, and protecting the patient experience.

Organizational Governance and Reporting Structure

The Floor Manager serves as the primary operational coordinator within the facility, bridging clinical management and daily administrative execution. Functioning immediately below the Clinical Director and Senior Practice Leadership, the Floor Manager exercises direct supervisory authority over non-clinical floor staff, chairside dental assistants, Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) technicians, front-office executives, and housekeeping personnel.

The organizational hierarchy positions the Floor Manager in direct alignment with executive leadership:
