Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staff Management and Training:“Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff”, as noted by ProStay.
  • Organizing work rotas, shifts, and daily pre-shift briefings.
  • Training team members on safety rules, chemical handling, and cleaning standards.
  • Inspections and Quality Control:
  • Conducting daily inspections of guest rooms, VIP suites, and public areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of protective gear.
  • Inventory and Budget Control:
  • Managing supplies such as cleaning agents, linens, uniforms, and guest amenities.
  • Tracking department expenses, managing payroll, and “managing budgets and controlling costs.” -- [PlanIT Plus].
  • Interdepartmental Coordination:
  • Communicating room availability statuses directly to the front desk.
  • Reporting facility damage or maintenance needs to the engineering department.
  • Guest Relations:
  • Handling special requests, managing lost-and-found items, and resolving guest complaints promptly.
