Job Description – Restaurant Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager

Job Summary

VGP Heritage is looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensure exceptional guest experiences, lead the service team, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, and drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the restaurant and ensure smooth daily service.
• Deliver outstanding guest service and promptly resolve guest complaints.
• Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate restaurant staff.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and grooming standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Control food costs, wastage, inventory, and operational expenses.
• Achieve sales targets through promotions, upselling, and event coordination.
• Prepare daily sales reports and maintain operational records.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, billing, and closing procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the restaurant.
• Handle VIP guests, private events, and special reservations professionally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food costing, inventory control, and guest relations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
