Job Summary:

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including finance controlling, accounting, treasury, and fund-raising activities for a dynamic Housing Finance Company. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, capable of driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and securing capital to fuel growth. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, contributing to the overall strategic direction and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Controlling & Planning:
  • Develop and implement robust financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis and actionable insights to the management team.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including management accounts, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Accounting & Reporting:
  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Indian GAAP).
  • Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and resolving audit observations.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (direct and indirect taxes) and manage tax planning strategies.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Fund Raising & Treasury Management:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive fund-raising strategies, including debt syndication, equity capital raising, and other innovative financing solutions to meet the company's growth objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and rating agencies.
  • Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and investment of surplus funds.
  • Manage foreign exchange risk and interest rate risk exposures.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for all financing arrangements.
• Strategic Leadership & Compliance:
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors on business growth, capital allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements pertinent to Housing Finance Companies (e.g., NHB, RBI guidelines).
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.
  • Implement and maintain strong corporate governance practices.
