Virtual Immigration Paralegal (US Immigration) – Remote (India)

About Us

Law Office of Smit Patel PLLC is a U.S.-based immigration law firm dedicated to providing high-quality legal services in humanitarian and family-based immigration matters. As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Virtual Immigration Paralegal to join our remote team.

This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates with experience in US Immigration (USCIS & EOIR) matters. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, fluent in English, and able to manage multiple cases while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and draft USCIS and EOIR immigration filings.
  • Assist with asylum applications, VAWA, U Visa, Adjustment of Status, waivers, family-based petitions, motions, and BIA appeals.
  • Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation.
  • Manage client files and case records using DocketWise and other case management systems.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to collect documents and provide case updates.
  • Organize, review, and maintain legal documents with accuracy.
  • Track deadlines, court dates, and attorney calendars.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and team members to ensure timely case preparation.
  • Support administrative and case management tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-Year Integrated LLB (Honours) – Mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience handling USCIS and EOIR immigration matters.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong legal drafting and research skills.
  • Experience with DocketWise or similar legal case management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with LexisNexis.
  • English compulsory; Hindi required; Gujarati is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (US Time)

Salary

₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month (Based on experience and qualifications)
