Job Description

Responsibilities of a Shift manager includes overseeing daily cafe operations, supervising staff, managing inventory and supplies, handling customer service, and ensuring compliance with company standards during their shift. Key duties involve delegating tasks, training employees, balancing the cash register, resolving problems, and ensuring the quality and cleanliness of the cafe.

Key responsibilities

· Supervise, train, and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and productivity.

· Staff and operations management

· Delegate tasks and monitor employee performance throughout the shift.

· Address and resolve any issues that arise among staff or with customers.

· Handle opening or closing procedures for the cafe.

Inventory and supplies:

· Monitor inventory levels and ensure supplies are adequately stocked.

· Coordinate with vendors and place orders for new supplies, such as coffee, milk, and takeaway cups.

Customer service:

· Ensure a positive customer experience by providing excellent service.

· Address customer complaints and feedback politely and efficiently.

· Educate customers on the menu and make recommendations.

Financial management:

· Monitor daily earnings and expenses.

· Balance the cash register and reconcile sales at the end of the shift.

Quality control:

· Ensure that all products are prepared according to company standards.

· Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the cafe and equipment.

Required skills and qualifications

· Leadership and strong communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications (sometimes required).

Experience in the food and beverage industry is often preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
