Job Title: Rubber Technologist

Job Location : Bhayandar , Mumbai (MH) /Kaman, Vasai

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Rubber Technologist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in rubber compounding, product development, and process optimization. The candidate will be responsible for developing rubber formulations, improving product performance, and supporting production to ensure consistent quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize rubber compounds (natural and synthetic) based on product requirements
• Conduct material selection, formulation design, and testing for performance improvement
• Work closely with production teams to scale formulations from lab to manufacturing
• Troubleshoot processing issues such as curing, mixing, extrusion, and molding defects
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
• Perform physical and chemical testing (tensile strength, hardness, elongation, aging, etc.)
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and procurement teams for raw material evaluation
• Support cost reduction initiatives through formulation and process improvements
• Maintain documentation for formulations, trials, and quality records

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in rubber compounding and processing
• Strong knowledge of elastomers (NR, SBR, NBR, EPDM, etc.) and additives
• Familiarity with processing techniques such as mixing, extrusion, calendaring, and molding
• Experience with testing standards (ASTM, ISO, BIS)
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automotive, tire, seals, hoses, or industrial rubber products
• Knowledge of simulation tools or formulation software
• Exposure to sustainability practices and recyclable materials
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Work Environment

• Combination of laboratory, production floor, and office settings
• May require coordination with vendors and customers

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
