Designation – Jr. Laboratory Technician For Pallakad Location

Job Description: To operate and maintain the laboratory for biological monitoring of the bio-methanation process, supervise ETP performance, ensure compost quality compliance, and accurately update all operational and laboratory data in the ERP system.

Job Responsibilities:

1.Laboratory Operations:
Perform routine laboratory analyses, including sample collection, preparation of reagents, and maintenance of overall laboratory cleanliness and organization.

2. Process Monitoring:
Monitor digester biological performance and stability, and communicate daily observations to the operations team to enable timely corrective actions.

3. ETP Supervision:
Oversee effluent treatment plant (ETP) performance by ensuring proper functioning of equipment and coordinating with ETP operators to meet discharge standards.

4. Compost Quality Control:
Conduct quality testing of compost, support optimization of curing and processing conditions, and maintain batch-wise quality records.

5. Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

6. Safety & Housekeeping:
Adhere to laboratory and chemical safety protocols, ensure proper storage and handling of materials, and maintain cleanliness of the lab and testing areas, including stock registers.

7. Deviation Monitoring:
Identify process or quality deviations and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

8. Environmental Compliance:
Maintain and update all records required for environmental and statutory compliance.

Technical Skills Desired (if any)

1. Knowledge of bio-methanation / anaerobic digestion process, ETP & Compost

2. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing:

• pH, TS, VS, COD, BOD, VFA, ammonia

3. Ability to calibrate and handle lab instruments

4. Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP systems)

5. Data recording, analysis, and reporting skills

Education / Professional qualification desired :

Diploma or B.Sc. in:

• Chemistry
• Microbiology
• Environmental Science
• Biotechnology

Certification in wastewater treatment / lab techniques (preferred but not mandatory)

Minimum experience required (years) :

· 0–3 years (Freshers with strong fundamentals can be considered)

· 1–2 years preferred in similar plant/lab environment

Nature of experience / Industry Preference : Waste water/ETP/Biogas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
