Job Title: Logistics Associate

Department: Supply Chain / Operations

Job Summary

We are looking for a Logistics Associate specializing in import shipments to manage end-to-end international logistics operations and Local shipments. The role involves coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to ensure timely and compliant import of goods, while maintaining accurate documentation and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all import shipments from overseas suppliers.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transporters for smooth clearance and delivery.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, BL/AWB, etc.). Must have a good understanding of HSN.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and import/export laws.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to the operations/procurement team.
• Handle duty payments, import licenses, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of imports, landed costs, and logistics expenses.
• Resolve issues related to delays, demurrage, or discrepancies in shipments.
• Support process improvements to reduce lead time and logistics costs.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and warehouse teams for end-to-end coordination.
• Knowledge of Certification required in import. Example :- BIS, WPC etc.
• Candidates with a background in Logistics Operations, particularly in e-commerce, shipment coordination, order tracking, and delivery management, will be preferred
• Experience in coordinating with CHA/Customs vendors for import clearance, customs documentation,payments, and shipment delivery will be preferred.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in import logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding preferred.
• Knowledge of customs clearance, HS codes, and import regulations in India.
• Familiarity with incoterms and international trade documentation.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and shipment tracking tools
• Candidates with prior experience in E-commerce logistics, supply chain, order fulfillment, inventory management, and last-mile/Local shipments will be preferred.
