About the Role

10X International School, Mysuru, is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Content Creator to develop and manage content that reflects the school’s vibrant learning environment. The candidate will showcase academic programmes, student accomplishments, school events, activities, sports, arts, campus facilities, and the overall school community through engaging digital content.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on campus, interacting with different stakeholders, capturing moments in real time, and converting them into professional and engaging social media content.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain a monthly social media calendar for the school.
• Create content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other appropriate platforms.
• Photograph and record classroom activities, student learning, school events, assemblies, competitions, sports, performances, celebrations, and campus initiatives.
• Produce reels, short videos, stories, graphics, posters, and other visual content.
• Edit photographs and videos using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Prepare creative captions, announcements, event highlights, and achievement posts.
• Highlight student, staff, and school achievements in a positive and professional manner.
• Coordinate with teachers, activity coordinators, students, and administrative teams to collect accurate information.
• Provide timely social media coverage of important events and activities.
• Ensure that content follows the school’s brand guidelines, communication style, and approval process.
• Monitor audience comments, messages, and mentions and escalate queries when necessary.
• Review content performance and prepare regular updates on reach, engagement, views, and audience response.
• Research current social media trends and recommend relevant content formats and ideas.
• Maintain a well-organised digital library of photographs, videos, designs, and content materials.
• Ensure compliance with student safety, privacy, consent, and school communication policies.
• Assist with admissions campaigns, school newsletters, website content, and other communication requirements.
• Support additional marketing and communication activities assigned by the school leadership.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Visual Communication, Design, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of relevant experience in social media management, content creation, photography, videography, or digital marketing.
• Experience in an educational institution or school environment will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Ability to create and edit photographs, videos, reels, posters, and digital graphics.
• Strong English writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Kannada will be preferred.
• A portfolio or examples of previous content creation work must be submitted.
• Flexibility to cover school events that may occasionally take place outside regular working hours or on weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mysuru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
